OPINIÂO:

Digo desde já que já faz uns bons anos que não leio um livro em português e este posso considerar o primeiro livro que me fez quebrar a minha rotina de leitura unicamente em inglês. 

Já tinha lido algumas opiniões acerca deste livro como também já tinha visto umas quantas publicações na plataforma do Instagram que acabaram por despertar o meu interesse nesta obra. Pus as opiniões de terceiros de lado e tentei ir o mais cega possível para esta jornada literária. 

No inicio do livro e até bem a meio do mesmo, devo dizer que Giselle (a personagem principal desta nossa história) irritava-me bastante por afirmar necessitar ter cuidado com as suas acções mas esta no fim acabava por ser demasiado descuidada. É como se ela disse-se que nunca na vida faria determinada coisa mas acaba por a fazer de qualquer modo mesmo sabendo que o resultado de tal vai ser negativo. Pondo isto de lado e também pondo de lado as constantes mudanças de humor de Giselle (que foi outro aspecto que desgostei dela), gostei bastante do espírito de aventura dela, da sua curiosidade e das várias respostas irónicas que ela nos deixa ao largo do livro. Comecei a gostar muito mais de Giselle na segunda metade do livro o que pode também ter a ver com o desenrolar da história que também me agradou muito mais na segunda metade. 

Factores amorosos: (Não mencionando nomes porque não desejo dar ''spoilers'' a ninguém) Achei que um dos rapazes se forçava para com Giselle sem deixar esta pensar duas vezes. Quase como: ''Ou estás comigo numa relação amorosa ou nem pensar que mantenho uma amizade contigo''. Esta foi a sensação com que fiquei desse personagem.

Já o outro menino da nossa história é o típico rapaz convencido cheio de respostas acertadas e repletas de ironia ou alguma observação engraçada. Aquele que com um só sorriso nos faz derreter a todas e que por detrás daquela máscara de sedução e ego elevado encontra-se um rapaz com uma alma pura e boas intenções. Podemos até chama-lo de Príncipe Encantado. 

Devo dizer que o livro em termos de enredo melhorou bastante nos capítulos finais o que me fez crescer uma enorme vontade de ler o próximo assim que seja publicado, fiquei com sede de mais informação e o que irá acontecer com os nossos personagens nesta próxima etapa.

Sei que este é o primeiro livro da autora e que com o próximo com certeza irá apresentar-nos imensas melhorias de escrita por isso digo que dêem uma oportunidade a este livro que se lê com bastante facilidade.

REVIEW:

So, this book  got a five star rating because it was damn phenomenal.
Just the synopsis by itself made me want to read the book asap and don't make me talk about the book cover because holy lord I love it so darn much.
Now into the story!

I was totally pleased with the whole plot and how things progressed. We didn't get an obvious plot because information wasn't just given to us right at the beginning. You had to read the book so you could discover things at its own pace.
There was obvious attraction between Abigail and Jayden but what made me want to see how the story developed was the fact that they eventually created a friendship between them and further into the story a love relationship. Although it was hard for Jayden and Abigail to talk about their past they ended up trusting each other with what they consider their darkest moments and made them easier to live with.

I LOVED Anya Omah's writing and that for me is quite important so I can enjoy the book fully. Her writing just makes you dive into the book and makes you thirsty for more and more. I just couldn't put the book down. It took me a day to read it and I was damn happy with it.

Please read this book because you'll laugh, smile, fan yourself because it'll get hot but most important... you'll get attached to the characters.

REVIEW:

 I know this is just a short story/book/novella and full of hot and steamy moments but I would have loved to read more about Brook and Xander.

Xander's an arrogant prick but we sort of got a glimpse of his softer side.

Yes, Brooke has had enough of his douche bag's attitude but there's so much attraction between these two that it's impossible to not shred clothes & have some fun under the sheets or in the porch of someone's house if you know what I mean ahaha. 

It's a shame this wasn't a full length book because it had so damn much potential to be like a 350 page book filled with drama, more of their relationship and a lot more slutty/hot scenes.

REVIEW:

For those who don't know, this book is part of a series called Elements. There are four books in this series and this one's the last. They're all standalone so there's no particular order for reading them even though I read them all by their release order. 

The books available are:

1. The Air He Breathes
2. The Fire Between High and Lo
3. Silent Waters
4. The Gravity of Us

Besides The Gravity of Us the other book that I gave 5* was The Air He Breathes which is my favorite book of them all. Even though both I gave both books a 5* rating I think that the first one is wayyyyy better because feels. I don't know, I just connected too much with the book and I loved it to death and beyond.

So first of all:

Yup, I gave this book a five star rating and I regret nothing.

Now that that part is cleared out of the way let's get into the book review/talking/opinion whatever you want to call it.

So... the more I think about this book the more stars I want to give it. I finished reading it a day after its release, so I finished it on the 14th of April. It's been already five days since then and I'm only writing something now because I wanted to give it sometime so the story could settle down on my head, so I could process it and think exactly why I gave it five stars and not less.

SOME SPOILERS MAY BE WRITTEN DOWN ON THIS REVIEW. You were warned.

The beginning of the book was a bit difficult for me to read and enjoy but after three or four chapters I couldn't drop the book for a second. I was just hooked. I needed to know more and to see how it all would develop.

I freaking loved Lucy. She was all smiles and sunshines. Very expressive and emotional, you could read her so damn well (all of these are compliments). She had the biggest heart you could find and she was just so damn caring, it's impossible to not love her.

Graham... Well... you could say he was the opposite of Lucy but in a way he wasn't. He just closed up his emotion due to too many hurtful moments during his life and once you get to know his past and that every single person he cared for left him, you'll understand his present self and why he looks so bitter sometimes. He's not a bad person, not at all. When Graham his with Talon (his daughter), you get to see his true self. He loves his daughter so freaking much, she means the world to him and so does Lucy from some point in his life.

Both Graham and Lucy complement each other. She feels everything and he feels nothing and throughout the book you see them both balancing each other, creating a friendship and furthermore a love relationship that I freaking adored and respected the hell out of them.

I could spend the whole day talking about the book and everything that I loved and which character I hated (LYRIC/JANE... I HATE HER SO FREAKING MUCH) but just go freaking read the book, it's so darn perfect.

REVIEW:

This is the second Max Henry book that I read and once again she doesn't disappoint me. I freaking love her writing. She's able to grasp my attention right from the beginning so I give her extra point for that.

The too main characters are complete opposites but they're so right for each other that in their unhappiness and life difficulties they find peace and love withing each other. Their pull and chemistry is so darn good and even though they try to fight, the bigger that chemistry becomes.

This book is such an emotional roller coaster that my poor heart at some point didn't know how to even react because too many feels going around.

This book is a totally GAME ON, MUST READ.

I won't spoil a thing so just go read it.

REVIEW:

So, I started this book with high expectations and I ended it feeling a bit... not disappointed but not truly happy with the final result of the book.

There were a lot of things that I enjoyed but a lot that... well... I didn't clicked with them at all.

I had to skip the first book because I have a tight schedule but I'll eventually read it.

Let's go further into the review because I'm stalling a bit.

THE DRAMA... Way too predictable and way too soft. It didn't make my heart pound for a second and knowing right from the get go who the ''bad guy'' in the story was took away all the magic in the suspense the book was supposed to have. I was expecting for something else to happen even though the ''bad guy'' was out of the scene already. I needed more drama, more dangerous moments so my heart would pound with anticipation and fear what would happen next, something that would make me crave to turn the page around and find out what awaited me.

I'm not even going to talk too much about the characters. I liked Beckett but I hated his POV's unlike Elle's POV's  that I loved. I think that I didn't get to see much of their relationship building up and that was also one of the reasons I gave this book a 3 star rating.

We didn’t know how to act with one another after our first kiss. Our situation wasn’t the norm when it came to building a relationship. We did everything backward. After we went home that night, we didn’t talk about it at all. Not the following week, either. I focused on Talon. Graham worked on his novel. I believed both of us were waiting for the right time to come up for us to speak about it, but that was the tricky thing about timing: it was never right.

Sometimes you just had to leap and hope you didn’t fall.

Before wanting to kill me for my rating, hear me out.

This book... it just didn't do it for me. I didn't 'click' with the author's writing.
I didn't like the description of scenes, action and even the love scenes. I was cringing throughout the whole book.
It's not that I HATED the book. I didn't hate it because it had potential but I think the author didn't grasp it well. My 2 star means I simply didn't enjoy the book. I didn't connect with any character whatsoever and the plot could have been worked on and studied way better. I'm pretty sure the author had an awesome sauce idea but kinda lost her touch while writing it.

For me one of the major problems here was SC Daiko's writing. I'll probably read another book of hers to see if her writing has any different from one book to the other and thus my opinion might change.

To be fair, it wasn’t entirely her fault. How was she to know he was also the lead singer of local rock band, Mondez? How was she to know he got off on her short temper? And how was she to know her best friend, Riley would fall for him?

Hard.

If he wasn’t so damn gorgeous it might have made the whole mess easier for Grace to handle. If he didn’t transform her female parts into a blazing furnace, and if he hadn’t confused the hell out of her already bruised heart, life might have turned out a heck of a lot differently.

But he was, he did, and he had.

She was screwed.

REVIEW:

So, even though I didn't rated it 5* I freaking loved this book and couldn't even put it down.

I was in love with how epic Grace and Levi were together. Sparks flew everytime they were around each other and the attraction was so palpable that anyone could sense it through a 5 mile radium. 

This book was so extremely well written that I even had tears a few times which means I was quite engrossed in the story so congrats to Lee Piper for writting such an awesome sauce book.

It's quite difficult to not read this book in a one-sitting because there's always something happening, something new to know and more epic drama. You just want to know more and more and those sexy-time scenes... Oh hon, you must pic this book up and read it all.

This review will be this short because I really want to be extremely spoiler free so you can go without knowing a thing so the book is a surprise in every kind of aspect.

REVIEW:

Pretty much impressed with the whole book. 

I've never read a book that includes prostitution. It broke my heart to see how much Tom and his friends suffered because of their sexual orientation. Being gay doesn't make you a worst person, it just makes you who you are and what matters is just your happiness and nothing else. 

Tom's parents reaction to him being gay was just from another world. What the hell did they have on their minds?? Throwing out a 15 year old kid on the streets is just completely insane!! It was their freaking son for gods sake.

For four years Tom had to do what he could so he could have some money to himself and even share a bit with the other four kids who lived with him in an abandoned house.

What amazes me more about Tom is that he isn't an addict. Even with all the problems he had to deal with he managed to no choose to succumb do addiction as a way of escaping his stresses, fears and difficulties. 

It was marvelous to see how Sebastian truly wanted to help Tom and be a part of his life once again. Seb never stopped looking and thinking about Tom and how his life was and that was major sweet.

I think that Sebastian and also his boss from work were the the two best characters in the book and between all the people who didn't give two sh*ts about if Tom could manage himself, these two were always worried and wanting to help and make Tom's and his friends lives better.

After reading the synopsys I really wanted to read this book and I finished it with a smile. I was quite pleased with how everything turned out (even though there was one part that broke my heart into a million pieces).
